Fitness membership launch test matrix

Prepared by Derrick Kityo · Reviewed

A website, payment service and membership system need to agree about what happens next. Use these scenarios with the providers and policies in your actual setup.

Completed fictional membership test plan. Expected outcomes are examples to adapt, not live payment results or Body by Ciara/Aurum client records.

Use this with your team

  1. List which system owns plans, payment status, access and member records.
  2. Adapt the expected outcomes to your provider setup and membership policies. Use approved test accounts and fictional details.
  3. Run the failure and cancellation cases as well as a normal sign-up, and keep the evidence with the handover.

Webflow: User Accounts sunset
Webflow’s native User Accounts was disabled in January 2026. A current membership brief needs an appropriate access or learning provider, with its responsibilities scoped explicitly.

Stripe: Checkout fulfilment
For a custom Stripe integration, use authoritative server-side confirmation rather than relying on a return page. Other providers need their own supported process.
