Beechwood Nursery School is a multicultural nursery school based in Streatham, South London. I was approached to rebuild their existing website, which had become a sprawling and difficult-to-navigate site, on a short timeline.
The existing site had a confusing information hierarchy and a lot of important content buried beneath unnecessary structure. I redesigned the experience around clear navigation, friendly imagery, and a calm colour palette suited to the nursery's audience, then rebuilt it entirely in Webflow.
The new Webflow website lets admins and teachers log in and manage almost every aspect of the site directly through the Webflow Editor, keeping content fresh and accurate as the school's programmes evolve.

Beechwood Nursery School in Streatham had a website that was actively working against them. Years of accumulated content had created a sprawling, confusing information architecture where important details about admissions, curriculum, and term dates were buried beneath layers of unnecessary structure. Parents visiting the site, often comparing multiple nurseries under time pressure, were hitting dead ends and unclear navigation paths.
The timing added pressure. The school needed the rebuild on a short timeline, and a nursery website carries a specific kind of weight. Parents are making decisions about who will care for their children. Every design choice either builds confidence or creates doubt. A confusing website in this sector doesn't just frustrate visitors; it raises quiet questions about organisation and attention to detail that translate directly into enrolment decisions.
I redesigned the experience from scratch, starting with the information hierarchy. The new navigation is built around what parents actually come looking for: admissions, curriculum, term dates, and contact information. Everything else is organised beneath those primary paths. I chose a calm, friendly colour palette and paired it with warm imagery that reflects the multicultural character of the nursery and the community it serves.
The entire site was rebuilt in Webflow with a CMS structure that gives staff genuine editorial control. Teachers and administrators can log in through the Webflow Editor and manage almost every aspect of the site, from page content to news updates to photo galleries. The templates are structured so content stays consistent regardless of who publishes it, which is essential in a school environment where multiple staff members need editing access.
Beechwood Nursery School launched a site that finally matched the quality of care they provide in person. Parents can find what they need in seconds rather than minutes, and the calm, organised experience communicates competence before anyone ever visits the school. The site works hard to convert casual browsers into enquiries, with clear calls to action at every natural decision point.
Operationally, the school gained independence from developer timelines. Staff update term dates, add news items, and refresh photo galleries directly through the Webflow Editor. For a nursery where information accuracy directly affects parent trust and daily operations, having a site that stays current without external help is a genuine operational upgrade.
