Website integration handover register
Give each connection a named owner, a way to verify the result and a first step when something goes wrong.
Open the blank CSV in Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets and save a working copy. Add one row for each form, booking, order or other flow your team depends on.
What to record
- Flow, trigger and destination
- Name where it starts, which system receives it and who looks after that destination.
- Expected result, receipt and safe test
- Describe what the receiving team should see and how they can check it. Record the approved test method separately from the pass check.
- Alert and recovery
- Name who hears about a failure, where they look first and how they decide whether it is safe to retry or escalate.
- Access owner
- Identify who controls the integration account and grants access. Keep passwords, API tokens and customer details out of the worksheet.
- Status, date and evidence
- Use “Not checked”, “Pass” or “Needs work”. Date the last check and link to any evidence in a location the intended owners can access.
Run the handover with the new owner
Ask them to open one row, run its agreed check and explain what they would do if the result were missing. The handover guide explains how to run that check safely.
