Hi, I'm Derrick ππΎ
I build and improve websites and apps for growing companies, combining marketing thinking with hands-on technical delivery.
I'm Derrick Kityo. I build websites and apps from London, and for over ten years I've worked across product marketing and engineering for founders, agencies and venture-backed teams in health-tech, fintech, climate, property and creative.
Sometimes that means a new website, landing page or app. Sometimes it means clearer positioning, a stronger SEO and content system, a conversion programme, or connecting the CMS, CRM and analytics so the work stops falling between teams. I might use Webflow or Astro for a website, Expo for an app, and PostHog or HubSpot to understand what happens after launch. The tools support the work rather than define it.
I also build practical automation and agent-assisted workflows for research, publishing, monitoring and reporting. Most engagements continue beyond the first build because a useful website or app is never really finished. It needs someone to own the backlog, connect the pieces and keep improving it. See how I choose the stack.

The skills behind useful websites and apps
- 01Product marketing
Turn product knowledge into clear positioning, useful page structure, launch material and journeys that help buyers decide.
- 02Web & app engineering
Marketing sites, landing pages, apps and digital products built with the platform that suits the job.
- 03Search & discoverability
Technical SEO, AEO and content systems grounded in real demand rather than an arbitrary publishing calendar.
- 04Conversion & testing
Analytics, user behaviour and focused tests that make the website more useful to customers and the business.
- 05Product operations
Ongoing ownership across updates, releases, quality, integrations and the backlog that otherwise keeps slipping.
- 06Automation & agents
Practical workflows for research, publishing, monitoring, reporting and lead handling, with human review where it matters.
A practical way to work together
- 01
Audit + context
I look at the product, audience, website, data and workflow before deciding what deserves to be built or changed.
- 02
Position + plan
We turn the commercial goal into clear messaging, journeys and a practical backlog with an order of operations.
- 03
Build + connect
I ship the pages, product surfaces, content model and integrations as one working system your team can own.
- 04
Improve + operate
After launch, I can manage the website, run experiments and automate repeatable work so progress keeps compounding.
Bring me the goal, the constraints and the messy middle.
I can help connect the marketing thinking, technical work and ongoing ownership needed to move it forward.
“As I grow in my business, I need services to grow with, Derrick is that service when it comes to my website. He is patient, listens and takes onboard the changes I want in a timely manner. My website changes and develops with the needs of my clients and my offer which is great. He also brings new ideas and perspectives in how to improve and grow in line with my goals and business needs. I look forward seeing how this new phase develops.”
