Internal tools, client portals, SaaS products and data platforms designed around real users, real workflows and the systems you already have.
Selected teams I have worked with
Platform
I build inventory tools, booking systems, client portals, SaaS MVPs, dashboards, and approval workflows. The focus is business software that replaces spreadsheets and email chains. For a team-facing workflow, see internal tool development. If the experience belongs on a phone, see mobile app development.
Technical
The interface, data and automation should fit the product rather than force it into one platform. I use Astro or a custom front end for browser products, and Expo when an app needs a shared path across mobile and web. PostHog can help measure behaviour, while Vercel, Cloudflare and Resend support delivery and communication where they fit. I choose the simplest setup that meets the users, security and growth plan. See how I choose the stack.
SaaS
I ship the smallest version that proves demand, then add authentication, admin tools, and a heavier backend only when usage justifies it. This keeps the first release focused and gives later decisions real data. The MVP development page explains how I choose that first release boundary.
Process
Discovery starts with the workflow your team uses now. A working prototype reaches users early, so I can remove friction before the full build. The aim is a familiar tool that saves time from day one. See conversion optimisation.
Map the current workflow and the best automation opportunity.
Put a working prototype in front of real users and data.
Ship the MVP and prioritise new features from actual usage.
I can help turn the repeated steps into a useful product your team or customers can actually use.

"It has been a pleasure to work with Derrick! He delivered a pixel-perfect website for LLI, which not only looks and performs well but is also very organised and simple to maintain! During the process, he had the patience to clear all the incoming doubts that occurred when we were transitioning from one platform to another, and he not only delivered a great site but also tutorials on how to manage it."

MVP scope, timing, pricing, integrations, and support.
A website presents information. A web app lets users manage data, complete tasks, or run a workflow. If users log in and interact with data, it is a web app.
A focused MVP typically ranges from £5,000-£15,000. Multiple roles, real-time data, or complex workflows are quoted after discovery.
A focused MVP usually takes 4-6 weeks. Larger products take 8-16 weeks and ship in usable phases.
Yes. I work with Airtable, Google Sheets, SQL databases, and REST APIs. The interface can stay independent of the data source.
Yes. I set up hosting, monitoring, backups, and admin access for the frontend and backend.
