Creative coworking with TOSH Space

Creative coworking with TOSH Space
Overview

I support TOSH Space (The Old School House), a creative coworking and events venue in Boscombe, Dorset, with ongoing Webflow maintenance, custom front-end script development, and day-to-day Webflow site management to keep their site fast, stable, and easy for the team to manage.

This includes optimising Webflow CMS structures for events, blogs, and workspace bookings, resolving layout issues, improving page performance, and implementing custom scripts to extend Webflow's native functionality.

As their long-term Webflow developer, I also handle routine content updates across their coworking, community, and venue-hire pages, ensuring content accuracy, smooth interactions, and a consistent user experience across the site.

The Problem

TOSH Space (The Old School House) is a creative coworking and events venue in Boscombe, Dorset with a distinctive personality and a genuine community of artists, makers, and independent creatives. It is not a corporate serviced office and it never will be, and the website needed to reflect that character while still functioning as a practical booking and information platform for workspace enquiries, event hires, and community programming.

The site had accumulated technical debt over time. Layout issues had crept in as content was added without corresponding template updates, performance problems were slowing down the experience, and CMS structures that had grown organically rather than by design were making it harder for the small TOSH team to manage content efficiently. Every minute spent wrestling with the CMS was a minute not spent running the venue and supporting the community.

As a multi-purpose venue that books coworking space, hosts events, runs workshops, and manages community programmes, TOSH needed a reliable developer who could handle day-to-day site management at a sustainable cost. They didn't need a full agency retainer with account managers and strategy decks. They needed someone who understood Webflow deeply, could extend its native functionality where needed, and could respond quickly when things needed fixing or updating.

The Build

I support TOSH Space with ongoing Webflow maintenance, custom front-end script development, and day-to-day site management. The work covers optimising CMS structures for events, blogs, and workspace bookings, resolving layout issues systematically, improving page performance, and implementing custom scripts to extend what Webflow can do natively without adding complexity for the people who manage the site.

Routine content updates across coworking, community, and venue-hire pages are part of the engagement. I make sure content is accurate, interactions are smooth, and the user experience stays consistent as the site evolves with new events, new community initiatives, and new ways of using the space.

The engagement is ongoing and responsive. When TOSH has a new event to promote, a layout issue to resolve, or a new idea for how the site should work, I handle it quickly. The relationship is built on reliability and deep Webflow knowledge that the TOSH team can depend on without needing to manage a developer relationship or explain technical constraints.

The Outcome

TOSH Space has a Webflow site that stays fast, stable, and easy for the team to manage day to day. Layout issues get resolved before they frustrate visitors, performance stays optimised, and custom scripts extend the site's functionality without introducing fragility or complexity.

The CMS structures are cleaner and more efficient, which means the TOSH team spends less time wrestling with content management and more time running their venue, supporting their creative community, and doing the work that actually builds the business.

The ongoing relationship gives TOSH the confidence that their digital presence is in capable hands. They can focus on building a creative community in Boscombe, knowing that the website supporting that mission is being maintained by someone who understands both the platform and the venue's unique character.
